Brothers and sisters,
As we continue our Annual Stewardship Renewal, I've been thinking about a healing retreat in Eagan I recently served at. Last week, almost 1000 people gathered at St. John Neumann parish to learn, to pray, and to receive deep, interior healing for wounds both physical, emotional, and spiritual. I listened to the talks and heard the confessions of several attendees. Clearly, the Holy Spirit was at work – healing, restoring, giving hope. One of our parishioners who was there even testified to me about a miracle that happened during her amazing experience.
All the power of the retreat came from the Lord. But stewardship made it possible.
Think about it: Only through the stewardship of many, many people could that retreat ever happen. Some people had to send thousands of invitations. Some had to provide meals. Some had to give the talks. Some had to print the reflection guides. Some had to make sure the sound system was prepared. Some had to pay the electricity bill to power the lights, the speakers, and the projectors. Some had to share their spiritual charisms of healing. Some had to hear confessions. Some had to make sure the bathrooms were clean. Some had to pray and intercede for the retreatants.
All those people were stewards who let the power of God work through them. And so many of them were "unseen" or "behind the scenes." The same thing is true for us. The Lord is doing amazing things at Saint Rose, and all of us have a part in our mission to glorify God, follow Jesus, love one another, and invite everyone.
This week, I invite everyone who is part of our Saint Rose of Lima family to review, renew, and respond to our Annual Stewardship Renewal. Your financial contributions, your prayer, and your participation in community and service are vital ways that we allow the power of the Lord to flow through us. Ultimately, it's not about us, it's about the Lord and the Kingdom of Heaven.

Catholic Youth Summer Camp 2023
Catholic Youth Summer Camp is the perfect summer activity for current 5-11th graders this summer! Come to Trego, Wisconsin from July 16-21 with Saint Rose for obstacle courses, Mass, paintball, prayer time, canoeing, Adoration, and more activities and sacraments.
Sign up for Catholic Youth Summer Camp this summer is open, but space is limited. All middle school students in Fall 2023 (current 5-7th graders) are invited, as well as current 8th and 9th graders to apply for the Prayer Team! Current 10th and 11th graders are welcome to apply for the Discipleship Team.

Next Level Youth Group
High Schoolers, Come Bake with Us!
Our Next Level group for grades 9-12 will meet Saturday, November 19, from 1:30 to 4:30 PM, for a Bake Off Bake Sale experience. We’ll introduce new recipes, then host a light competition to see who can produce the most, accurately executed cookies and baked goods, which they can then keep, donate or sell to raise funds for our upcoming Next Level events. Snacks will be provided, and we’ll close with the opportunity to attend Confessions and Mass. All high schoolers are welcome, so bring a friend!

It is hard to believe, but this year's Advent Retreat is coming up soon: December 2-3 at Saint Rose. The retreat is meant to be attended both days, but if you can only make one, you are still welcomed and encouraged to join. We will have great speakers, music, prayer, and an opportunity for a greater encounter with the Lord.

Blood Drive
The Blood Drive at Saint Rose is back! Thanks to the American Red Cross, we’ll be working together to give back to the community in a truly life-changing way, as each donation we collect can save up to three lives. On Thursday, November 17, from 10:00 am - 4:00 pm, sign up for a time to donate blood in the Saint Peter Room (the Lower Level of the Parish Center).

The Grief Group will meet on the third Friday of every month from 11:00 am - 12:00 pm. The next meeting is November 18 in the Nazareth Room in the Church. This group is for anyone experiencing any sort of loss. There will be time for prayer, discussion on grief-related issues, and more. If you will be new to this group, please call Parish Administrative Assistant, Brigid Kostka, by noon on November 16, to make a reservation, (651-357-1200). This will assist us in both set-up and ensuring resource availability.
